1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the remittance and money transfer services provided by Sarafi Etemad, operated by BRANCHES OF LIGHT PTY LTD (ABN 73 669 653 052) ("we", "us", "our").
By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.
We are registered with the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) as a Remittance Network Provider (Registration Number: IND100848726-001).
2. Services Provided
We provide the following services:
- International money transfer services to Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
- Bank-to-bank transfers
- Cash pickup services through our partner network
- Foreign currency exchange
3. Eligibility
To use our services, you must:
- • Be at least 18 years of age or older
- • Be legally authorized to send money from Australia
- • Provide valid identification as required by Australian law
- • Not be listed on any sanctions lists or involved in illegal activities
- • Provide accurate and truthful information
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet these requirements or if we believe a transaction may violate Australian law.
4. Customer Identification & Verification (KYC)
Under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (AML/CTF Act), we are required to verify your identity before processing any transaction.
You must provide:
- • Valid government-issued photo identification (e.g., passport, driver's licence)
- • Proof of residential address (if required)
- • Additional documentation for higher-value transactions or as requested
Failure to provide the required identification will result in your transaction being declined.
5. Transaction Limits & Fees
Transaction Limits:
Transaction limits may apply based on your verification level, destination country, and regulatory requirements. We will inform you of any applicable limits before you complete your transaction.
Service Fees:
We charge a transparent service fee for each transaction. The total amount you will pay includes:
- • The amount you are sending (principal)
- • Our service fee (clearly displayed before confirmation)
- • The exchange rate applied (if applicable)
Exchange Rates:
Exchange rates are determined by us and may differ from interbank rates. The rate you receive will be displayed and locked in at the time of your transaction.
6. Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- • Cash (in-person at our office)
- • Bank transfer (EFT)
- • Debit card
Note: Cash transactions of AUD $10,000 or more must be reported to AUSTRAC as required by law.
7. Transaction Processing & Delivery
Processing Times:
We aim to process transactions as quickly as possible. Processing times vary based on the destination, delivery method, and time of submission. Typical delivery times are:
- • Bank transfers: 1-3 business days
- • Cash pickup: Usually within minutes to 24 hours
Delays:
Delays may occur due to banking hours, public holidays, compliance checks, or issues with recipient details. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party banks or payment networks.
8. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation Requests:
You may request to cancel your transaction before the funds have been paid out to the recipient. To cancel, contact us immediately at 0410 009 485 or info@etemad.com.au.
Refunds:
If your transaction is successfully cancelled before payout:
- • You will receive a refund of the principal amount
- • Service fees are non-refundable unless the cancellation was due to our error
- • Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days
Important: Once funds have been paid out to the recipient, the transaction cannot be reversed or refunded.
9. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- • Ensuring all recipient details (name, account number, address) are accurate
- • Ensuring you are legally authorized to send the funds
- • Ensuring the funds are not derived from illegal activities
- • Keeping your transaction receipt and reference number safe
- • Notifying us immediately if you suspect fraud or unauthorized use
10. Prohibited Transactions
You must not use our services for:
- • Money laundering or terrorism financing
- • Fraud, scams, or illegal activities
- • Transactions involving sanctioned individuals, entities, or countries
- • Purchasing illegal goods or services
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or report any transaction we believe violates these Terms or applicable law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- • We are not liable for delays caused by third parties (banks, payment networks, etc.)
- • We are not liable for losses resulting from incorrect recipient details provided by you
- • We are not liable for losses due to currency fluctuations after the exchange rate is locked
- • Our total liability is limited to the amount of the transaction in question
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or matters that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
12. Privacy & Data Protection
We collect, use, and store your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy.

13. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. The most current version will always be available on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
